2025.02.12: Pre-arrival Japanese Language Program for UTokyo Students will be launched in the academic year 2025
2024.12.13: Short-term Japanese Course and Special Themed Seminar will begin in January and February, 2025.
2024.11.13: Short-term Japanese Course will begin in December, 2024.

The Center for Japanese Language Education provides an opportunity to learn Japanese for international students and foreign researchers. There are a variety of courses offered.

For pre-arrival UTokyo students

We offer a program for those who have been accepted to study abroad at the University of Tokyo, allowing them to learn Japanese that they can use in their upcoming life in Japan.
