UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2023 ended
The UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2023, which started on June 6, ended successfully on August 5.
On July 31, as the last event on campus, the final presentation was held at the Sanjo Kaikan, Hongo Campus.
In addition to poster presentations by the 39 scholars (participating students at the UTokyo), executives from Amgen Japan also gave an opening remark as well as a presentation. More than 50 host faculty members and laboratory mentors attended the event, and the farewell party afterwards was another great success.
On August 2, the Asia Symposium 2023 which concludes the program was held at the National University of Singapore (NUS), one of the participating universities in the Asia program. Scholars from Kyoto University, Tsinghua University, and the University of Tokyo, a total of 108 scholars were all present for the Symposium.
The two-and-a-half-day symposium consisted of oral presentations by representatives of each university, poster presentations by all scholars, presentations by faculty members from each university, and a panel sharing by executives from Amgen Singapore Manufacturing and so on.
Every session was followed by numbers of questions as well as series of opportunities to interact with other scholars from around the world - the program ended successfully with a very interactive and productive time.
