GlobE holds 新年快乐! Special Chinese Conversation Club

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, Center for Global Education (GlobE) held “新年快乐! Special Chinese Conversation Club” at Student Plaza, Center for Global Education, Hongo Campus.

A total of 17 international and local students enjoyed communicating with each other in Chinese, Japanese and English. Getting to know each other in small groups, they celebrated the Lunar New Year through origami (Japanese paper-craft art) and Chinese paper cutting art (剪紙/jianzhi).

Chinese Conversation Club is organized by the International Student Support Room (ISSR), Center for Global Education, as an opportunity for UTokyo students to interact with each other in Chinese, Japanese, and other languages. The gathering is held twice a month during lunchtime at Student Plaza.
