USTEP (University-wide Student Exchange Program) orientation and welcome event 2024 Spring were held!
On April 2nd, an orientation and welcome event for new exchange students of USTEP (University-wide Student Exchange Program) was held at the Yasuda Auditorium.
For USTEP Type U (exchange program for undergraduate students) starting in April 2024, 89 outstanding students from partner universities around the world are enrolled as exchange students at the University of Tokyo, taking classes at both the Hongo and Komaba campuses.
At this orientation, UTokyo students who serve as peer partners for USTEP students officially participated as "USTEP Partners" and deepened their friendships while taking the lead of new international students through various recreational activities. USTEP Partners is a new initiative that began in the autumn semester of 2023 to provide opportunities for students to voluntarily engage in international exchange with each other. USTEP Partners will help exchange students adjust to student life at the university, plan and organize exchange events, and conduct group social activities.
