On Monday, January 15 at 12:15, as Dialogue at UTokyo GlobE #5,「Tal Talk event with Prof. Peter Salovey (President of Yale University) and Prof. Kaori Hayashi (Executive Vice President of UTokyo)」was held.

Yale University President, Professor Peter Salovey, delivered a lecture titled "Emotional Intelligence in the Lab, Workplace, and Classroom," highlighting that just as individuals possess a wide range of intellectual abilities, they also possess measurable skills in a broad spectrum of emotions, known as "Emotional Intelligence." In his address, Professor Salovey explained that this concept deeply influences human thinking and behavior. He further emphasized the significance of making efforts to nurture this capacity. Following the lecture, a conversation with Professor, Kaori Hayashi (Executive Vice President of UTokyo) ensued, followed by a Q&A session with approximately 70 students from the university. During the Q&A session, Professor Salovey enthusiastically addressed each question posed by the students.
