Biography
Since childhood, my family hosted international students as part of a family. What I understood as a child at that time was that there are people in the world with different customs and values from my own. But despite these differences, I learned that we could share many emotions and experiences together. During high school and university, I studied in North America as an exchange student. While at university, I participated in a short-term international education program organized by an international NGO in the Philippines, where I was impressed by the female staff who tackled local issues with high expertise and initiative. After several years of engaging in project management in the private sector, I began researching 'diversity and inequality' in India, one of the representatives of the so-called Global South.
I am particularly interested in the international trends of the roles and interactions of state and non-state actors (such as companies, NGOs/NPOs, entrepreneurs, cram schools, and communities) in education as well as internationalization of education and leadership development. At GlobE, I am responsible for coordinating Global Liberal Arts Courses. I am also a mother of two children.

Message to Students
GlobE offers various opportunities to learn about global issues in a changing society with peers from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds. Through new encounters, discoveries, and explorations, you can deepen your understanding of your connection with the world. Experiencing diverse perspectives and values and questioning your own “common sense” will broaden your horizons. In today's world where cross-border interactions are accelerating, such experiences will be beneficial in any social context. We hope that each of you will use these experiences as a foundation for your growth, demonstrate your leadership and serve for the globalizing society.
