GLP-I Global Leadership Summit
The Global Leadership Summit is a component of the UTokyo Global Leadership Program-I (GLP-I). The Global Leadership Summit is the culmination of your studies through the Global Leadership Program-I. It brings together all members of the GLP community, including students, alumni, mentors, faculty, staff, sponsor partners, and other allies to celebrate your success. The Summit is your opportunity to showcase your Global Experience, what you have learned about global issues and SDGs, how you learned, and to make a statement of your vision for global leadership.
Learning Objectives
Through the Global Leadership Summit, students will:
・Apply principles of leadership, teamwork, inclusivity, and diversity to real-life issues related to the SDGs
・Apply learning outcomes from other GLP-I components to real-life issues related to the SDGs
・Demonstrate how they have learned through one or more Global Experience(s)
・Extend their academic investigation on the basis of their Global Experience(s)
・Make a compelling presentation with a strong Leadership Statement
Schedule
The summit is held every May and October. Each student is expected to participate in the first Summit after returning from your Global Experience.
The Summit begins in the morning and continues until mid-afternoon. The exact date and timetable for each Summit is announced at the beginning of the preceding semester.
The first Summit will be held on Sat 18th October 2025. The date of the following summit will be announced by October 2025.
Completion Criteria
To complete the Global Leadership Summit, students need to:
・Reflect on your academic investigation topic, in light of your Global Experience and other academic studies on the GLP-I
