Global Experiences and Scholarships

Global Experiences

Overview

As part of the GLP-I, you are required to take at least one Global Experience. These experiences will immerse you in international or globally focused environments—whether abroad or in Japan—and will help you develop the skills essential for a global career and leadership. Some students choose to engage in multiple Global Experiences to further deepen their understanding and broaden their perspectives.

Engaging in Global Experiences

The Global Experience is part of a structured learning journey—linked with a pre-experience Global Capstone and a post-experience Global Leadership Summit. (If you have already participated in a program that qualifies as Global Experiences before taking the Global Capstone, please refer to the Q&As below.)

Registering your Global Experience

You will receive comprehensive guidance on the procedure for registering your Global Experience in your portfolio during the Global Capstone.

Program Categories Eligible as Global Experiences

Activities that fit into the following categories will be eligible for recognition. In each case, certification requires that the Global Experience includes more than 23 hours of educational activities or work experience.
