2025.11.25
On Friday, November 7, 2025, the GlobE International Student Support Room (ISSR) held a career development symposium for international students titled “Working in Japan – Open Discussion with HR staff from Japanese Companies” at GlobE’s Student Plaza on the Hongo Campus. The symposium provided an opportunity for students to design their own post-graduation career paths by directly interacting with potential employers.

Sixty-one international students hoping to find jobs in Japan had frank discussions with 33 HR personnel and junior employees from 17 Japanese and foreign-affiliated global companies from a variety of industries. Many topics were covered. The students discussed concerns about how to plan for careers in Japan, including choosing appropriate companies for themselves and dealing with changing Japanese workstyles. They also received job-hunting tips on topics such as writing “entry sheets” (resume/CV forms specified by companies) and preparing for job interviews.
