2025.11.07
On Friday, October 3, 2025, GlobE’s Kashiwa Branch held its second Free Recycling Bazaar of the academic year for new international students and foreign researchers.

Registration began at noon, and approximately 50 incoming students and researchers from overseas participated. The venue was lively, and the event was well-received.

Students, faculty, and staff at the Kashiwa Campus, along with local volunteers, generously donated a wide variety of items including bicycles, kitchenware, tableware, towels, blankets, and appliances such as microwaves and vacuum cleaners.

The ever-popular bicycles and appliances were distributed by lottery due to high demand. With competition running high, applause greeted each winner announcement, creating a warm atmosphere throughout. Other items were distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing participants to select what they needed.

Many attendees had just started living in Japan. They were seen smiling as they received items useful for daily life, including tableware, kitchen utensils, and bedding. Some items were even brand new, and voices of joy and gratitude could be heard throughout the venue.

After receiving their items, participants enjoyed tea, sweets, and drinks while chatting and making connections across departments.

The event was meaningful for both donors and participants, showcasing the spirit of mutual support and community.
