Program Report: UTokyo – Princeton University Joint Program “People and Culture of Japan in the United States: Past, Present, and Future”　

From March 9 to 16, 2025, GlobE hosted a winter program “People and Culture of Japan in the United States: Past, Present, and Future” in the U.S. in collaboration with Princeton University.

The program participants consisted of eight UTokyo undergraduate students and eight Princeton undergraduate students, who studied together at the University of Tokyo New York Office, Rutgers University, and Princeton University. In addition to lectures by Princeton faculty members, the program featured diverse sessions, including a lecture by the Ambassador of Japan to the United States in New York and a Japanese opera singer who has built his career internationally. Participants also had the opportunity to visit local museums and other cultural institutions.
