Chinese Conversation Club Welcome Party held for New International Students
On Monday, April 22, 2024, Chinese Conversation Club Welcome Party was held for new students of Spring 2024 at Student Plaza, Center for Global Education.
A total of 21 new and current students enjoyed exchanges in Chinese, Japanese, and English over lunch. After self-introductions, participants had a Q&A session in which new students asked questions to senior students. New students asked a wide range of questions and listened to advice from their seniors, including recommendations on how to study Japanese, how to get used to the lab, how to navigate the Japanese transportation system, and how to find an affordable apartment. Chinese Conversation Club is organized by International Student Support Room (ISSR), Center for Global Education as an opportunity for UTokyo students to interact with each other in Chinese, Japanese, and other languages. It is held twice a month during lunchtime at Student Plaza.
