Biography
Born in China, raised in Canada, and now exploring life’s possibilities in Japan. I received my Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Denver, before obtaining my Ph.D. in Social and Cultural Psychology at the University of Alberta. I am a scientist-practitioner at heart - believing that scientific research and applied practice enlightens and reinforces one another.
My research interests include intercultural competence, multicultural identities and well-being, as well as intercultural relations. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new cultures, food, and cafes, as well as taking a stroll by the ocean.
Message to Students
"Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but rather cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity. Intercultural dialogue is the best guarantee of a more peaceful, just and sustainable world." —Robert Alan Aurthur
